Agreement

These terms apply to your use of Davana at houseofdavana.com. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Davana.

Who can use Davana

You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for keeping your password secure.

What Davana provides

Davana offers scent suggestions, an AI-assisted Architect that develops fragrance ideas, a private journal, guides and a community. The Architect uses artificial intelligence, so results can be imperfect or unexpected.

Fragrance ideas are inspiration, not professional advice

• Scent suggestions, archetype cards and layering guides are creative inspiration. We do not promise how a fragrance will smell or last on your skin.
• Formulas and ingredient suggestions are not safety-tested and are not a substitute for professional perfumery, regulatory or safety review. Do not make or sell a product from them without confirming ingredient limits and safety, such as IFRA standards and supplier safety data sheets.
• Always patch-test fragrance on a small area of skin. Stop using a product that irritates you, and seek medical advice if you have allergies or a skin condition.

Allergic reactions and ingredient safety

Fragrance ingredients can cause allergic reactions, skin irritation or other sensitivities, and these differ from person to person. You are responsible for checking that any product is suitable for you.

• Read the full ingredient list and notes for every product, whether it is a recommended product or a product sold through Davana or by a third party. Notes shown in Davana are descriptive and may not list every ingredient or allergen.
• If you know you are allergic or sensitive to an ingredient, do not use products that contain it or that you cannot verify.
• Stop using a product immediately if you notice redness, itching, rash, swelling, breathing difficulty or any other reaction. Wash the area, and seek medical help if symptoms are serious or do not settle.
• Davana is not liable for any allergic reaction, irritation or injury that results from using a recommended or sold product, or from following a suggestion, formula or layering idea.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you write, including journal entries, posts and replies. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, display and process your content as needed to run Davana. For posts and replies, this includes showing them to other signed-in members. Content you mark for research may also be used as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for what you post, and you promise you have the right to share it.

Community rules

Be respectful. You agree not to:

• harass, threaten or discriminate against others;
• post spam, advertising or misleading content;
• share private information about other people;
• post unlawful content or content that infringes someone else's rights;
• try to disrupt, probe or gain unauthorised access to the service, or use automated tools to scrape it.

Moderation

Members can report content. We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. You can delete your own posts and replies at any time.

Third-party names and links

Davana may refer to fragrance names, brands and sources so you can explore scent directions. These belong to their respective owners. Davana is not affiliated with or endorsed by them, and links to other sites are provided for convenience only.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Davana available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, add or remove features, and we may update these terms. If changes are significant we will let you know, and continuing to use Davana means you accept the updated terms.

Ending your account

You can stop using Davana at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@houseofdavana.com. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken.

Disclaimers and limits on liability

Davana is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not give warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss arising from your reliance on scent suggestions or AI-generated content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
